acciaccatura

The grace notes are built-in as \grace in LilyPond, to do acciaccatura
we should create a directive that has a graphic adding a slash for the
display and make exportlilypond.c notice the directive (by its tag) and
substitute \acciacatura for \grace
I won't do anything about this though, until a request comes in.

Homepage: Download section

Hi,

on the Denemo homepage, under the download section is still written:
"Current stable version: 0.9.2 from September 30th 2011". That should be
changed. Under sourcecode there is no link to the current stable release
(I was confused not to find it there). The Windows version for download
is still 0.9.0; it would be great if that could be updated. A friend of
mine did not start using Denemo because of that (she couldn't open my
score). The link at "Some notes BuildingForWindows are available" points
to nowhere.

Re: Homepage: Download section

Thanks for these. We need help with building for windows.
I noticed looking at Jeremiah's blog2 that is supposed to document this
that there are 80 pages of spam there.
Jeremiah - can you comment/fix?

Re: Homepage: Download section

Thanks for the reminder. I will update the website. I am also working on a windows build.

Re: gub build update

I have pushed a fix for this. I am not sure what this handling of child
signals is about, (running LilyPond etc I guess), but the fix is in any
case correct I think.

Invisible text cursor in score layout

In the score layout window (View->Score Layout), when you convert the
layout to LilyPond text you get a text editor for customizing it.
In my GTK2 version, the text cursor in this editor is not visible - this
seems to be a GTK bug. You can edit the text, and even switch between
overwrite and insert modes, but the cursor does not show.
Can someone test on GTK3 and report back?
The score layout work is now fairly mature, as is the tooltips work any
comments/corrections/suggestions will be welcome - it will be good to
release this soon.

Ok. I have now succeeded in building a git snapshot. Please test:

http://denemo.org/downloads/denemo-0.9.5rc1.exe

I was not sure what to name it. I am going to try testing this in wine.

Re: Windows git snapshot

This is fantastic! It is nearly all working - the only missing bit is
the pixbuf loader thing (it fails to load png files).
The error messages (running denemo-console.exe) are this sort of thing:

8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><
(denemo-console.exe:5168): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Cannot open pixbuf
loader modul
e file 'C:\Program Files\Denemo\usr\lib\gdk-pixbuf-2.0\2.10.0
\loaders.cache': No
 such file or directory
Inserting command StartBeam Start Beam Instructs the LilyPond engraver
to start
a beam here. (Print effect only) 0045AE40  -> 432

(denemo-console.exe:5168): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Cannot open pixbuf
loader modul
e file 'C:\Program Files\Denemo\usr\lib\gdk-pixbuf-2.0\2.10.0
\loaders.cache': No
 such file or directory

8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><8-><

This looks like a problem we had to hack our way through before several
times, to do with running a program when creating the gtk libraries that
tell it where to find the png ... etc loaders. I don't recall much else
about it - I don't think I ever went near it under gub.

***BUT**** it *is* fantastic, everything I tested worked - playback was
the real danger - we are doing threads on windows and it is just working
- hearty congratulations to Dominic S. here!
