using PredictionAppender for many files

Hi all,

When testing a model, I wanna save a file containing the predicted class for each instance. This can be done
using PredictionAppender (under Evaluation Tab in KnowledgeFlow) which is then attached to a DataSink
to save the file. But I wanna repeat this for a lot of files, So I'd like to find something like this in either
Experimenter or SimpleCLI.

Thank you,
Bahar

assigning new cases to previously developed clusters

Does anyone know how to do these? I am using Explorer in Weka 3.7.

I have a data set which I have divided up into a Training set and a Testing set.
I clustered the training set.

Now is there a way to assign each record from the Test set to the
cluster in the Training set to which it is closest?

Thank you.

RE: How to modify source code of Weka

I think that you extrated the source files inside eclipse workspace folder. Try moving the source code folder to another location outside the workspace.

Besides, have you tryed to make a project using subclipse and weka repository? I had no problems and all versions are there.

Regards Jose.

csh script in CLI

Hi all,

There's a csh script example in Weka tutorial. From the tutorial I understand that the lines should be
executed in the SimpleCLI, but CLI doesn't accept them. (It says "Command must be one of: ..."). I'd be
thankful if you let me know the correct way of executing this example.

Thank you,
Bahar

Unit tests

Hello,

I' going to develop some unit tests for the new code I have written for weka and I'm pretending to integrate them in weka too.
I haven't found anything about unit tests in the wiki. Can someone explain me the structure of unit tests that weka has?

Regards.

Re: buying a PC for data mining projects

I highly recommend a set up that will take a 64 bit OS. Memory
space for java on a 4 G RAM Machine is only about 1.4 GB. That
can be very frustrating.

RE: How to modify source code of Weka

Hi,

Thank you very much for your help, I have followed the steps in the tutoriel
of the link page
"http://weka.wikispaces.com/Eclipse+3.4.x+%28Subversion%29". I succeed in
compiling the code source of Weka although a number of errors is shown.
But, when I click on Run as a java application and I choose the
"GuiChooser", I have access to Weka screenshot as usual.

Thank you,

Best regards,

Re: buying a PC for data mining projects

Has no-one considered hooking up Weka to Terracotta + Ehcache.
Terracotta to distribute the processing load and Ehcache to handle huge
datasets.

Many Thanks

Inputting text file in Weka

Hi all!

What kinds of text files does Weka accept? I put data into a text file and tried to open it through the TextDirectoryLoader from the explorer and the program said that the file could not be found. How do I fix this? I want to classify an article but how should I organize it so that the program accepts it?

Thank You.
