Ted and all,
this practice among virus creaters has become wide spread and is
seen on nearly all sites and lists.

It has nothing what so ever to do wih the apparrent senders of
these messages! Many viruses now search the address books of
infected machines and use found addresses and names not only as
destinations, but as fake senders.

About all list servs can do is refuse any and all attachments
which might not be a bad idea, many allready do that.

About all us real frail folks can do is say, if it doesn't make
sense, then it is trash.

As for screen readers that can't be shut up,well when a certain
company said they were going to be the biggest in this field, I
knew I wouldn't want to have anything to do with them, and I
don't. biggest is never best!

Wish us all luck, we need it!

Index Basic D.

Greetings,

I have the Index Basic D braille printer and I wonder can anybody tell me
either how to get a print in braille of *all* the settings, or how to
export the settings to a file.

I am aware that some braille printers have this facility and I have been
led to believe the Index Basic D does but the person who told me could not
bring to mind the procedure how to obtain this.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers.

Colin R. Howard.

Re: Index Basic D.

Greetings,

Have received a couple of replies and pressing the help button produces a
braille print in braille and moon. I suspect the information is not
exactly the same as braille and moon do not need exactly the same settings.
I also received the ascii table showing braille signs but I reckon I only
have the currently loaded settings printed.

Cheers.

Colin R. Howard.

AS400 Inquiry

Does anybody on this list know if (or better yet, have first-hand knowledge)
AS400 Systems are accessible via JAWS For Windows or WindowEyes?

Is there any software that allows a PC user to access the AS400 Systems and
effectively use user interfaces on those systems?

Optacon R1D looks like new codition for sale. Read anything anywhere.

Hello,

Here is a very helpful unit. The Optacon R1D portable scanner/reader that is in
almost new condition since it did not get used. The R1D is the most desired
model of the Optacons for its great feel and responsiveness. Read anything
anywhere on the go. Complete with leather padded carrying case and it tightly
fitting leather case and manual and AC adapter (electrical plug/charger).
Guaranteed to be in beautiful codition. I have sold many of these, and this one
is probably the best condition. Adjustabel camera nob on camera and two
adjustabel nobs on unit. Asking $450 or best offer. Just email cj sampson at
cj <at> byu.net or reply to this email address and ask for my number or leave number
and I will call you. Thanks.

Re: Optacon R1D looks like new codition for sale. Read anything anywhere.

Is this list for advertising,
or should adds be on blind-add?

If you must quote me, please put your comments first.
I have already listened to mine.

I read email with speech.
So it is not possible to scroll past the quotes without listening to them again,
to quickly get to the new information.

Thanks much again as always.

Should items for sale appear on this list?

Hi listers,
IMO if the items advertize are relevent to technology, they should be =
allowed on this list. I don't want to register to yet another list, and =
there are not many ads as this so I don't think it clotters the list.

                        All the best,

Info about Maximizer's accessibility?

Hi,
Does anyone know of Jaws or Hal scripts for Maximizer?
They use this program - a mixture between Outlook and Accesss -, at my =
work. Unfortunately, I don't find it very screen readers friendly. If =
anyone knows of a tutorial as well, that would greatly help.
Thanks a lot in advance for your suggestions,=09

J-Say Vendor

I thought there was a member of this list that is a J-Say vendor, but I
can't recall who it is. Can anybody remind me of this person?

Thanks
